Winter is here!
As the crispy cooler days arrive once again, we look for calculated ways to layer-up keeping us warm while staying on track with our sense of style. Personally, I adore winter, for with it comes opulent colours and luxe layered styles found in comfort wool scarves and coats, along with accessories you don’t want to leave the house without.
This month we cover Runway designs most coveted in the fashion world right now verse Real Life and “how-to” convert the trends…In other words, how-to transform and wear your favourite runway looks on the daily. We look at the oversized trend making it’s way into our closet and must-have Winter layers our body yearns for as the temperature continues to drop.
As always, I hope you can find daily inspiration here that will help set the mood for your own dress style this winter. And if you need a little guidance with a seasons wardrobe update, Id love to help you out via the link sort my style

Runway to Real Life
Let’s face it, more than often the season trends we love and admire in fashion shows and magazines are not practical or relevant to our everyday lives. Alas all is not lost! We’ve done the legwork for you, transforming these runway looks to real life looks, for you to incorporate and enjoy wearing these runway trends in your daily functional lifestyle.
Monochromatic Suits
It’s safe to say bold colours and monochromatic looks were seen across almost every runway show and presentation during fashion week season. I’m kind of a sucker for a classic suit in general but add a bold colour to the mix and I feel like I’m having a Carrie Bradshaw moment. This green just takes the outfit to another level, creating a major fashion statement.
*Psst wondering what monochromatic dressing is? Monochromatic dressing refers to wearing top and bottom separates of that one colour. This could mean different textures or similar shades of that same colour to create an overall solid toned look.
Sweaters
Sweaters have been seen and worn for quite some time but one aspect that has changed in 2022 is in the style of knit. Right now, it’s all about the oversized, chunky large knit. Vivid colours as seen on the runway this season, also make for an updated edgy look. For every day style I’d recommend sticking to the basics, like pairing an oversized statement coloured sweater with your favourite denim jeans and wide leg pants.
