Hello and welcome to October, If you’re reading this it’s time to stand up and break out into a happy dance ?. Together we’ve managed to make it through another season of unusual circumstances, social limitations and Covid19 restrictions… we are awesome!!
Wouldn’t it be so grand if life could feel like an endless long weekend? Well since that’s not an option, this month we leisurely sail through prepping for warmer days, garden lunches, picnics by the sea and most importantly a chance to reconnect with our favourite people through local and interstate travel. We spotlight 4 favourites that every getaway wardrobe needs right now, and how to work this year’s pastels into your current wardrobe.
I know, it’s a far cry from the usual October hot topics covering the latest “what to wear” for spring carnival festivities but hey, when life throws us lemons we pivot and make margarita cocktails instead.
Sit back relax and enjoy…

Breast Cancer Awareness
October has snuck upon us, so you may not have realised it’s Breast Cancer Awareness month. Being breast aware is about knowing how your breasts look and feel and knowing what is ‘normal’ for you.
Every year some of our favourite brands take part in supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month by creating limited-edition products where a portion of the proceeds go to various cancer-related charities.
So, if you need an excuse to buy, there’s a ton of great options out there right now that you can pick up and know that your money is going to a good cause. Here are just a few of my favourites:
Colour of the season ♥ pretty in pastels
There’s really no wrong in sporting dreamy pastels all year round but it’s only natural for pastel shades to flourish during springtime ?. This year’s Spring/Summer New York Fashion week showcased pastel shades the likes of pistachio mint, baby blue, millennial pink and orange sorbet and I couldn’t be more excited.
Most of you that follow on social media would have guessed I especially love the pastel colour pistachio. This cool soothing and often understated shade made a style statement last season and seems to be showcasing itself yet again this spring/summer too ???? Why do I love this particular pastel? Well for starters it suits most if not all skin types and hair colouring – blondes, redheads and brunettes can have fun wearing a soft mint green and pistachio pastels. You can have fun dressing this shade up or down depending on your mood and occasion.
I’ve created IGTV over on my Instagram page sharing style tips on how you too can have fun wearing this season’s favourite shade by creating ten different outfits with just one pastel knit. Check it out here!
And should you need some direction in selecting fab pastel styles, here’s a few of my favourite fashion picks you can utilise as a great starting point this season.
