Year Year of The Snake – Month of Self Love – Mocha Mousse 🤎

It’s my birthday month! What a wonderful way to kick off February and express my gratitude to you, my amazing clients and readers. Welcome back and thank you for being here!

Taking time off to rest and reset during the summer break allowed me to reflect on the future direction of Style Culture Magazine and its fashion updates for you all in 2025.

As I dive into the 53rd edition this month, I aim to infuse a fresh energy that empowers you to feel confident in your fashion and daily outfit choices.

Speaking of fashion, if you haven’t heard yet, the biggest fashion trend for 2025 is the one you feel most comfortable in. While this phrase may seem to be trending all over the internet right now, those of you who’ve been with me from the beginning know that this is always, my core message. Forget the fleeting trends and embrace what allows you to be the best version of yourself!

Word of The Year ♥

Entering 2024, I chose “Discipline” as my word of the year to try and reshape my mindset. This meant doing less, saying no to more, and structuring my days on my terms instead of societal expectations for solo female business owners – working tirelessly until burnout. This shift in thinking allowed me to take a full five weeks off to care for my terminally ill fur baby Apollo.

For this year, my word is “Intention”. My aim is to act and work with intention! So far, so good—I’ve been easing back into work since mid-January, styling one client at a time, instead of cramming in extended hours and hectic styling days as I used to. I’ll keep you posted in the coming months. You can see mine shared here.

Pantone 2025 Colour of The Year!

Pantone Colour of The Year is…🟫

Our first Style Update for the year is brought to you by Pantones colour of the year Mocha Mousse. The colour experts have deemed Mocha Mousse 17-1230 as the colour to dominate the next twelve months!

Leatrice Eisemna, Executive Director of Pantone Colour Institute, explains that Mocha Mousse is “underpinned by our desire for every day pleasures” and the colour “expresses a level of thoughtful indulgence” that is “sophisticated and lush, yet at the same time an unpretentious classic.”

Personally, I adore this rich, warm brown shade and see it as elegant, luxurious, and chic. 🤎

How I Wear Mocha Mousse in 2025

I’m not attempting to sway you into agreeing with Mocha Mousse, but it can be beneficial to see the colour styled before making a decision.

You can pair mocha hues with soft blushes or bold magenta, khaki, olive, navy or black to add depth and warmth to your outfits. Consider incorporating textures, such as a mocha sweater, a blazer or a silk scarf in a rich coffee tone, to bring an element of luxury to your outfit. Accessories, like a statement handbag or shoes in varying shades of natural, tan and mocha, can pull the look together seamlessly. Remember, the key is to play with contrasts and complementary colours, allowing each piece to enhance the other while maintaining harmony.

With mocha as your canvas, the possibilities are endless, and your style will undoubtedly stand out with sophistication and flair.

The Month of “Self“ Love ♥

Year of The Snake🐍

Lunar New Year, celebrated for thousands of years, originates from the legend of Nian and is based on the lunar calendar, with dates varying each year, between January 21 and February 20. A key tradition is buying new clothing to symbolise a fresh start for the year. Red and gold are the favoured colours.
