What June has meant to us…
Does anyone feel like 2020 so far has been played out like a script written for the next Fox studios blockbuster thriller? It’s a big yes for me that’s for sure. Many of you that have been with me from the very beginning, would know my values and my unwavering commitment to always giving kindness without expectation, the importance of supporting our local businesses as well as our female entrepreneurs, empowering our teen females of tomorrow through equal opportunity, and saying no to discrimination and racism.
I don’t think there is a perfect time given the events of the world right now – from the current Black Lives Matter movement to the global pandemic and economic unrest it has brought upon us all – but what I can tell you is the content we create daily via social media posts and right here in our monthly magazine is designed and thought out specifically for you my loyal clients, small business owners and female entrepreneurs of all backgrounds. I urge everyone in my community, to come together and educate ourselves on the issues that are clearly still very much alive in 2020.
As always, I really do hope you find value and daily inspiration to help you and those around you. I am no expert in any of the major events and movements taking place right now, but I do strongly believe together we can make small changes that can equal big differences to be marked forever.
Education Is Key!
In order to best understand systematic racism, where and how it takes shape I have had to reeducate myself and what better way than listening and reading from those that have done the leg work and best break it down for us all. Come join me as I share my list of compiled resources from books, to podcasts, to movies and make this life a one for all to love and share together.

Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and colour.
“In a world that’s pushing for multiculturalism, acceptance and a new definition of self-love, it’s disheartening that the fashion industry isn’t overflowing with products representing all skin tones. Just as every woman deserves underwear that fits her body shape perfectly, she deserves underwear that’s made with her specific skin tone in mind”. – Rose and Bare

Layers of style & comfort
The cooler months are by far my favourite when it comes to personal style and fashion. Along with my clients, I too find winter the easiest season to dress for. Think of soft cozy natural fibres found in wool and cashmere, layers of knitwear, leather and lace that make for easy daily dress choices for work and weekend socials as we ease back into what has become the new norm.
Styling a Parisian chic look this season is easier than you may think. Having been inspired by a monochrome image on Pinterest I decided to dive into my closet creating a video for you of my own variations in layering, mixing and matching various wool fibres all complete with accessories and shoes. Watch the video via my Instagram here!
You too can create a chic Parisian look this season that provides warmth and comfort by shopping your own wardrobe before heading out to the stores and as the clever Paula Joye has said many times “Life is not about waiting for big occasions it’s about celebrating moments”. So if you feel like your layers are in need of a little jazzing up grab those fab statement shoes you’ve been saving to complete the look.

Winter is never dull with a seasonal print like this. Best worn with tights and ankle boot and denim jacket for long lunches or styled up with a killer heel and your favourite coat for dinner dates. Psst this dress also works with a cool sneaker during those warm spring days.
