The last time I sat to write our Style Culture magazine we were adjusting to a new season. Introducing warmer layers while looking ahead to styles that transform our cold weather wardrobe. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined what happened next, ‘again’.
As I type this letter we find ourselves in week 6 of a covid-19 lockdown here in Sydney, NSW 🙁 It’s hard to know what will happen next but if we as a nation have learned anything over the last 18 months or so, it’s to not take anything for granted. Circumstances can alter and change fast, one minute we’re planning weekends away with the girls (true story) the next we look for ways to hide, conceal and prolong hair colour fade…the struggle is real my friends.
Producing a fashion newsletter during a pandemic makes for an interesting thought process. Do we run on schedule covering hot seasons topics planned several weeks before? Have our readers had it with the term ‘loungewear’? Is there anyone even remotely interested in changing out of their Ugg boots? Oh if I only had the answers! But one thing I do know, most- if not all of us are ready for that something different, wouldn’t you agree?

This month we honour an Australian success story Celebrating 25 years of Iconic Mimco. Looking forward to happier days, times of promise filled with laughter, feel good moments spent with friends and social occasions in abundance just perfect for getting dressed up again!
